NIDA Humphrey Fellows Meet With Uruguay’s Ambassador to the United States

Humphrey Drug Abuse Research Fellows discussed tobacco regulation with Uruguay’s ambassador to the United States, Hon. Carlos Gianelli, and the embassy’s legal advisor, Marianela Bruno, during the officials’ visit to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in April. Current NIDA Humphrey Fellow Elisa Cabrera invited the pair to discuss her country’s efforts to prevent tobacco use and its legal strategy to make international corporations subject to public health regulations.
