WHAT:
Leaders from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), the National Institute on Mental Health (NIMH), the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child and Human Development (NICHD) will brief reporters about their Institutes’ research efforts related to COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2. Topics will include Long COVID, effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection on the brain, mental health during the pandemic, and COVID-19 and the opioid epidemic.
