Scene 1: Mom Argues

Daughter speaking:

Hey mom, Jane just called and wants me to go with her to Brook's house. Can I go?

Mom speaking:

You know it's a school night and you haven't finished your homework as usual, and you'll be out too late.

Daughter speaking:

So what? I'll be back by 9:30 and I can finish my report then.

Mom speaking:

I said no and I mean it. You've been out for the past two nights.

You're always asking for more more MORE!

Daughter speaking:

What's the big deal? Jane's mom is letting her go. I don't see why I can't.

Mom speaking:

I don't care what Jane's mom is doing. You're not going.

Daughter speaking:

So what do you want me to do sit around here with you?

That's boring. I'm going and you can't stop me.

Mom speaking:

You want to bet?

Daughter speaking:

You're such a bitch!

Mom speaking:

I can't believe it what did you say? You're not leaving this house.

The answer is no, Claire.

Claire, I said no and I mean it. Please don't ask again and if you keep arguing there'll be no phone calls tonight.
