Robert Stephen Hogg

Dr. Hogg, Professor of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and a Director of Epidemiology and the Population Health Program at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS in Vancouver Canada, received his training in demography and epidemiology. He is involved in several large-scale HIV treatment cohort studies in Canada, North America and Europe.

In addition, Dr. Hogg conducts studies in gay and other MSM cohort research in Canada, examining the interaction between drug use and HIV sexual risk behavior in a context of highly active retroviral therapy (HAART) expansion. He is also working with researchers in Uganda and South Africa around issues related to HAART and fertility desire and pregnancy.
