NIDA and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) invite international organizations to participate in National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® (NDAFW). The event will be held March 22 through 28, 2021. The week of educational events brings teens and scientific experts together to SHATTER THE MYTHS® about substance use and addiction. Schools, community groups, medical facilities, nongovernmental organizations, sports clubs, and other organizations around the world plan and host their own events. NIDA provides online resources for event planners, including classroom lessons, games, the National Drug & Alcohol IQ Challenge, toolkits, activity ideas, and promotional materials.
Up to 100 schools may register to participate in the online Chat Day, when students may receive real-time answers to questions about drugs that they submit to National Institutes of Health scientists. Registration opens approximately 6 weeks prior to the event. Visit the NDAFW website to learn more and subscribe to an e-newsletter about NDAFW planning.
