Abstract Submission and CPDD Registration Support Award Request
Abstract Submission
Deadline: April 15, 2021
Award Notification: May 3, 2021
The NIDA International Program seeks abstract submissions for the 2021 NIDA International Forum.
The COVID-19 pandemic presents unique challenges for people with substance use disorders (SUDs) and in recovery. Abstracts will be given priority that address any aspect of SUD and COVID-19, including but not limited to increased risks of contracting COVID-19; consequences of comorbid SUD and COVID-19 infection, including disease progression and severity, hospitalization, and death; stigma; access to services, including telehealth and vaccines; increased drug use; and overdose. Overdoses attributed to synthetic opioids or methamphetamine are of particular interest.
Note: Abstracts will not be selected if the research focuses only on alcohol.
Abstracts for the 2021 NIDA International Forum:
- Must be submitted online.
- Must be submitted by the primary/first author.
- Will be peer reviewed based upon the research topic, scientific merit, relevance to NIDA international research priorities, and quality of the abstract presentation.
Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters during the NIDA International Research Poster Session scheduled as the joint NIDA International Forum and the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD) Workshop.
