ISAM-NIG Announces Two Webinar Series

The Neuroscience Interest Group (NIG) of the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM) has launched two webinar series:

  • COVID-19 and addiction medicine. These webinars allow addiction medicine specialists to exchange information on changes in best practices and issues that might have unintended consequences for people who have substance use disorders. The first webinar was held March 23; the second webinar is scheduled for April 15.
  • Developing, translating, and implementing neuroscience findings in the daily practice of addiction treatment and prevention. These webinars focus on the mission of ISAM-NIG, which includes 160 addiction neuroscientists in 26 countries working to facilitate potential collaborations and ways scientists can share their methodological resources with colleagues around the world. The first webinar was held February 26; the second is scheduled for May 27.

ISAM-NIG cochairs are Hamed Ekhtiari, M.D., Ph.D., Laureate Institute for Brain Research (United States), and Antonio Verdejo-Garcia, Monash University (Australia).
