The International Programme in Addiction Studies (IPAS), a unique online collaboration of King’s College London, the University of Adelaide, and Virginia Commonwealth University, is now offering two graduate certificate programs in addiction studies in addition to its well-established master’s of science degree program. These certificates are designed for health care, social service, public health, or policy-focused professionals and graduate students who are seeking the latest in addiction-related knowledge but whose educational objectives do not include original research or a master’s-level credential. Options include a 12-credit Intermediate Certificate in International Addiction Studies and a 24-credit Advanced Certificate in International Addiction Studies. The 24-credit certificate is equivalent to a Graduate Diploma in Australia and the United Kingdom. Students successfully completing either certificate program may apply to the Master of Science in Addiction Studies Programme. Credits earned in the certificate programs may count toward the master’s degree. For more information about IPAS program options, curriculum, faculty, tuition, and application, visit the website at www.ipas.vcu.edu or email Mary Loos, Ph.D., at firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications will be accepted through July 15 for August 2015 enrollment. The online programs do not require campus attendance.
