InWomen’s Group To Celebrate 10th Anniversary at 2017 Conference

Travel Awards available for pre-and postdoctoral students and young investigators.

The 2017 International Women’s and Children’s Health and Gender (InWomen’s) Group Conference, which focuses on substance use among women and gender issues from around the world, will include sessions on:

  • Effects of prenatal marijuana, alcohol, and opiate use on pregnant women and children
  • Identity, culture, and healing after addiction among indigenous women in Canada
  • Interventions among mothers and fathers in substance use treatment programs
  • A multisite trial among sex workers at risk for acquiring HIV in Cambodia.

The June 16, 2017, meeting also will feature a 10th anniversary celebration. The InWomen’s Conference will be in Montréal, Canada, immediately before the NIDA International Forum and the College on Problems of Drug Dependence Annual Scientific Meeting. Conference registration will open in early 2017.
