ORNL Mutant Mouse Database
Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) has a large collection of mouse stocks, most of which propagate mutations induced (over a period of several decades) by radiations or chemicals in various stages of male or female gametogenesis. These mutations may range from single base-pair changes to rearrangements of various sizes, depending on mutagen and germ-cell stage. These mutant stocks are available either as live mice or as cryopreserved embryos/gametes/tissues -
NIAID/Taconic Emerging Models
Distributes various transgenic and knockout mice. -
Mouse Models of Human Cancer Consortium (MMHCC)
The Mouse Models of Human Cancers Consortium (MMHCC) Repository is an NCI-funded resource for mouse cancer models and associated strains. The repository makes strains available to all members of the scientific community. Up to 3 breeder pairs of each available strain may be ordered. On occasion larger numbers of breeder pairs may be available - inquire. All strains will be kept as live animals for a period of 6 months after which time their distribution level will be evaluated. Those strains that receive little or no interest will be removed from the shelf, but will be available for recovery from frozen stocks. Distribution evaluation will continue on a six-month basis for those strains kept as live animals. -
