American Academy of Family Physicians Scientific Assembly 2012 Location Panel Members:

Russell Breish, MD, FAAFP, Ft. Washington, PA

Dr. Breish is currently associate director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Chestnut Hill Hospital and medical director of Wissahickon Hospice, Penn Home Care and Hospice. Dr. Breish received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. He currently serves as chair of the AAFP’s Commission on Continuing Professional Development and 2011 chair of the Subcommittee on Assembly Scientific Program. He is the past president of the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians and currently is an alternate delegate to the AAFP’s Congress of Delegates.

Lee Carter, MD, FAAFP, Huntingdon, TN

Dr. Carter is in private practice and is clinical assistant professor at the Department of Family Medicine, University of Tennessee and serves as medical director for the Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center and for Caris Healthcare in Huntingdon. He also serves as integrity clinical research associate in Milan, Tennessee. Dr. Carter received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He currently is a member of the AAFP’s Commission on Continuing Professional Development and Subcommittee on Assembly Scientific Program and is the 2012 chair of the AAFP’s Scientific Assembly. He is past president of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians and currently is an alternate delegate to the AAFP’s Congress of Delegates.

Leonard Reeves, MD, FAAFP, Rome, GA

Dr. Reeves is assistant dean of the Northwest Georgia Clinical Campus of the Medical College of the Georgia Health Sciences University. He also serves as staff at the Floyd Medical Center, as well as academic staff at Redmond Regional Hospital and Kindred Hospital in Rome. Dr. Reeves received his medical degree at Mercer University School of Medicine. He currently is a member of the AAFP’s Commission on Continuing Professional Development and Subcommittee on Assembly Scientific Program. Dr. Reeves is the 2013 chair of the AAFP’s Scientific Assembly to be held in San Diego. He is active in the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians and has served as past president.

Lisa Soldat, MD, FAAFP, Johnston, IA

Dr. Soldat is currently faculty and family physician at the Broadlawns Medical Center Family Health Center in Des Moines and adjunct clinical assistant professor in Family Medicine at the University of Iowa. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond. Dr. Soldat currently serves on the AAFP’s Commission on Continuing Professional Development and Subcommittee on Assembly Scientific Program. She is a member of the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians Board of Directors.
