NIDA Goes BACK to School Briefing - Wednesday, October 22, 2003

WHAT: An opportunity for members of the education and science media to interview Dr. Nora D. Volkow, director, National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), National Institutes of Health, about NIDA's science education program and its efforts to reach students, parents, and teachers with free science-based educational materials about drug abuse and addiction. In addition to mailing materials to teachers across the country, NIDA recently launched a Web site, www.teens.drugabuse.gov, designed especially for teens ages 11 to 15.
