Drug Facts Chat Day

2007–Ongoing

Drug Facts Chat Day

Each fall, Drug Facts Chat Day provides students the opportunity to ask leading researchers questions about drug use, abuse, and addiction, as well as the associated health effects and risks.

Since 2008, each year, in the fall, top scientists from the National Institute on Drug Abuse go live online to answer your questions about drugs and their impact on the teen brain and body. During DRUG FACTS CHAT DAY, students can ask some of our nation's experts about illicit drug use as well as abuse of prescription drugs, which is becoming a growing problem among our nation's teens.

We had 82 schools participating and over 10,000 questions submitted. We answered as many as we could. See the transcript to see if your questions were answered.

The transcripts of past chats are available for those who may have missed seeing your question answered, or just want to see what students in other parts of the United States were asking us. All Chat Day resources are now located at our National Drug Facts Week site.
