Summary
Members of NIDA's American Indian/Alaska Native Researchers and Scholars Work Group convened in Portland, Oregon, during the week of June 8 to discuss plans for research activities during the coming year. A major focus of the workgroup meeting was developing mentoring activities for their "Native to Native Mentoring Program", developed to increase the number of American Indian/Alaska Natives pursuing research careers in substance-abuse research.
