LAST Deadline for FIRCA Basic Biomedical Research Awards: September 28, 2010
The Fogarty International Center (FIC) is evaluating and consolidating funding opportunities to respond to priorities set by the FIC Strategic Plan:
- Fogarty expects to reissue the Fogarty International Research Collaboration Award (FIRCA)-Behavioral and Social Sciences Research Awards with 2011, 2012, and 2013 receipt dates.
- FIRCA-Basic Biomedical Research Awards may not be reissued. Applicants intending to submit new or revised applications to FIRCA-BB are advised to apply for the September 28, 2010, deadline.
- The International Clinical, Operational, and Health Services Research Training Award (ICOHRTA) has been reconfigured and consolidated into the Chronic, Non-Communicable Diseases and Disorders Across the Lifespan: Fogarty International Research Training Award (NCD-LIFESPAN) program. Letters of Intent are due October 2, 2010; applications are due November 2, 2010.
- The ICOHRTA AIDS/TB award is now the International Implementation, Clinical, Operational, and Health Services Research Training Award for AIDS and Tuberculosis (IICOHRTA-AIDS/TB).
